At the height of the Great Barrier Reef’s yearly coral spawning event, this little Christmas Tree worm decided it wanted in on the fun! As the waters of Barracuda Bommie was filled with the eggs and sperm of hopeful coral polyps, it too released its reproductive materials in the hopes of finding the spirobranchus giganteus of its dreams. Thanks to our local guru of being in the right spot at the right time, Shane ‘Sharky’ Down captured the amazing moment were this Christmas Tree coral released its reproductive Secret Santa gifts out into the world. 📸: Shane 'Sharky' Down 🦈

I pensieri invece volano sempre verso isole lontane, dove le responsabilità e il vortice lavorativo assorbono ogni cosa. Stasera durante il tramonto è accaduta una cosa che non capitava da un po’. Andre ha preso il piano e io mi sono sdraiata accanto a lui ad ascoltarlo. Di nuovo guardando il cielo ho potuto sentire quanto quel momento fosse di valore, quanto fosse importante. Respiriamo aria pulita, viviamo a contatto con la natura, abbiamo una fortuna indescrivibile, eppure è così facile dimenticarsi di guardare il cielo. Stasera tutto si è riallineato nuovamente, abbiamo parlato, ci siamo tenuti la mano, abbiamo aggiunto un tassello piccolo ma importante in questa routine che attraversa la felicita. Perché la felicità può spaventare e imparare ad accoglierla fa parte di un percorso coraggioso. Noi siamo qui, oggi. Tanta strada già percorsa, altrettanta (e oltre) da scoprire insieme. While we already liked the Elite 7 with DownScan thanks to its large seven-inch screen and robust construction (see Sonar Smack-Down), Lowrance has improved the unit by adding limited CHIRP abilities. This seems to be Lowrance's answer to Raymarine's Dragonfly, which is another form of "CHIRP light."
