Yay. We are finally setting sail from West Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island in Northern Bahamas. We managed to get our paper to leave the US stamped at the airport, received our Covid negative test results, applied to the Bahamas Health Visa, got accepted and paid for it. We only have 5 days from the date of testing to get to the Bahamas so that's why we're leaving tonight. The wind is going to be light but hopefully we get a little more. My answer is YES and here are my three top tips for taking a baby on board a sailing holiday. #1 Paddling pool. Paddling pools are so useful. You can put them in the cockpit while you're underway. Baby is safe, entertained and happy. It's amazing. #2 Wear baby. So I actually wear my daughter in a wrap and when we're underway it's an amazing way for her (a) to feel safe, for me for her to feel safe. And also for her to feel comfortable go to sleep and my hands are free. #3 is a chair that actually clips on to the table. You can take it with you downstairs, upstairs, have it at the restaurants it's portable and incredible and amazing to take baby with you wherever you go. A dolphin showed up in the middle of the regatta. It was really weird because it was the only one.? always remember that the Heineken Regatta is the only regatta where a month of fun is ?packed into a four day event.
