Toni and I had the opportunity to check out the first Seawind 1370 in the United States. We did not think twice and headed up to Sail Away Catamarans to enjoy a demonstration sail on Damsel Fly. The 1370 is only 4 feet longer than the 1260, but it is a very different boat. There were things we liked and things we did not, so like every other boat known to mankind, it comes down to compromises. Like all Seawinds, she sailed very nicely in the low winds.

Toni and I headed to “Moments in Time” to raise and furl the screecher sail but the pouring rain caused by Ernesto out in the Atlantic delayed our arrival. Since the breeze was too much to raise and furl a large sail, we decided to rig the flag halyards off the port and starboard spreaders. At least we got something checked off our “to do” list. Another good day, another Moment in Time. Subscribe and share the adventure! We struggled to find a solution for changing the I16 VSD 16000 BTU AC Controls from Celsius to Fahrenheit aboard our Seawind 1260, Moments in Time. This simple process has been shrouded in secrecy at the highest level to try to force Americans into the metric system, but we won’t go without a struggle. Thanks to Craig from Oculus, who discovered the process to foil this conspiracy. I share this at great risk.
