GIORNO 33 - Traversata sulla SARDEGNA (Parte 3) Ebbene sรญ, con lโalba allโorizzonte avvistiamo la costa sud della Sardegna! La prua รจ sul golfo di Cagliari, ma con la scusa di fare gasolio, facciamo un salto al benzinaio di Villasimius. Una doccia al volo, un pieno al serbatoio del carburante e ci mettiamo allโancora fuori dalla marina per un pranzo e un tuffo. Commento? CHE ACQUA. La bellezza di questa terra vista dal mare รจ impressionante. Desiderosi di assaggiare i piatti tipici sardi e dare una lavata alla barca, continuiamo verso Cagliari, dove ormeggiamo e scendiamo a terra in cerca di un negozio nautico per innovazioni a bordo. Passeggiando ci perdiamo tra i vicoli della cittร e vediamo quanto sia diverso dalla Sicilia che prima di partire ci sembrava cosรฌ vicina e, invece, abbiamo scoperto cosรฌ lontana. La luna piena di questa notte ci rimarrร nel cuore per molto tempo, รจ stata un faro delicato che illumina la rotta senza abbagliarti. The evening brought together more than 80 captains, owners, key partners and industry leaders for an elegant dinner designed to inspire, reflect and continue the conversations sparked throughout the day. Set against a backdrop of a glowing Darling Harbour, guests enjoyed a relaxed but refined atmosphere, moving seamlessly from the intensity of the Roundtable to an evening of storytelling, laughter and thoughtful dialogue. The Compass Dinner was created with intention โ to close the day not with formality, but with meaning. A chance for our industryโs leaders to unwind, connect on a deeper level and share perspectives in a setting that felt intimate, warm and genuinely celebratory. The highlight of the evening was a captivating โfireside-styleโ conversation between two exceptional Australians: Dr Daniel Nour, founder of Street Side Medics and the 2022 Young Australian of the Year, and pioneering explorer Mike McDowell, whose career has taken him from Antarctica to the Titanic. Their contrasting journeys โ one rooted in compassion and community impact, the other in discovery, science and fearless exploration โ offered guests a rare blend of inspiration and insight. Another special moment was the auction of a limited edition Seiko Prospex timepiece which raised $10,000 for the valuable work of the International SeaKeepers Society.
