We are two crazies from South Africa, Frik & Petro. We knew absolutely nothing about sailing, but the ocean has always been calling. SISU (Finnish concept) is a grim, gritty, white-knuckle form of courage in situations where success is against the odds. Taking action against the odds and displaying courage and resoluteness in the face of adversity, in other words, deciding on a course of action and then sticking to that decision even despite repeated failures. Il Corso viene organizzato per consentire all’allievo comandante di acquisire l’esperienza nella preparazione di crociere costiere in condizioni di sicurezza anche con cattivo tempo e in navigazione notturna. Il corso è particolarmente adatto per coloro che sono in procinto di iniziare il corso di patente nautica e per coloro che pur avendo superato l’esame di patente, non hanno ancora acquisito l’esperienza sufficiente per condurre in autonomia un’imbarcazione da crociera. But what I'm going to do right now is show you the best way to tie your plank on so you don't stub your toes and it doesn't fall off and it doesn't look crap. And it's easy. So, here we go. Bring down to the midships like this and I have two lines on it. You can do it if there's one long line but I've got two lines on it like this. All right. Now we set it up, so that it doesn't have toe problems here. We're going to go around the bottom with this line and then around the stanchion and then on. Previously I sailed with two other people and we did watches of 3 hours which gives you 6 hours off and it was very pleasant. You get enough sleep and your shifts rotate, so no one gets stuck freezing every night. My husband and I are about to do a 4-5 day sail on our own, and I want to know, what is your favourite watch schedule for 2 people? We're planning on 4 hours on, 4 hours off, unless you convince us otherwise! Also, would you do a different style of watches for 3 people crossing the Atlantic ocean? Please comment.
