SEA TURTLES CAUGHT IN GHOST NET #indianocean #sailing #shorts #nature #ocean Sailing across the Indian Ocean our sailing family came across two Hawksbill sea turtles trapped in ghost netting, floating in the ocean, close to death. We set to work removing the fishing net that had entangled them, cutting into their skin and their shells. We were just in the right place at the right time to free these beautiful creatures and give them back their freedom. It was tight racing at the start of the 2022 Bar Buoy Race, A35 Le Basculer lead the fleet out of the narrows. A tight tacking dual between Going to Red, Hijacker and and Le Basculer saw the lead change several times before Going to Red stretched out to decent lead at the fairways mark. As alway the bar buoy race hosted by Strangford Sailing club was a great way to kick of the annual narrows series, more racing to come with 7 boats on the start line in the IRC 1 fleet.
