Some of you might know that I bought a boat a few months ago. She’s a beautiful old timber fishing boat originally from Melbourne, build in 1979. I’ve started turning her into my dream home, the perfect little cosy liveaboard. It has been the most amazing adventure so far and I decided to share it online for anyone who is interested ⛵️ It’s been a challenging few months so far. Full of ups and downs, set backs and new jobs that weren’t even planned. But it has also been super rewarding to figure it all out on my own (and the help of some friends). I have no background in building or carpentry or no knowledge at all about electrical work and boats in general. So I have been learning so much and I can’t wait to set sail :) #sailingstormy

Safety is key when climbing the mast onboard Linnea! And this is our version 2.0 🤯 Always use two lines in case one will fail! At the beginning we used two running halyards, which meant that the one on deck was controlling two lines at the same time, tightening one and then the other and so on. It worked, but it was a very time consuming solution and it wasn’t very safe either! Doing this instead, the one on deck only have one line to control. The prusik knot is controlled by the person in the mast, who simply just moves it along the static halyard (the one attached to the foot of the mast) while going both up and down. Simple as that! Let us know what you think of this! Do you think this is a good solution or do you have a better one you like to share? How do you do when you climb the mast? Don’t forget to save this video 🫶🏼

Je t’explique ce que veut dire prendre un ris en navigation : réduire la voilure pour garder le contrôle et naviguer en sécurité. Un geste essentiel pour tout marin en mer. ⚓💪 [ VISITEZ NOTRE SITE WEB ] https://www.sailingatypic.com [ RÉSERVEZ VOS PROCHAINES VACANCES EN VOILIER ] https://sailingatypic.com/pages/vacances-a-bord [ VISITEZ NOTRE BOUTIQUE DE VÊTEMENTS ATYPIC ] https://sailingatypic.com/collections/all [ AIRALO ] Code promo 3$ de rabais : VERONI7320 https://airalo.pxf.io/c/5786229/2071037/15608 [ SUIVEZ-NOUS ] 🔔 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/SailingAtypic/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sailing_atypic/?hl=fr YouTube: https://youtube.com/c/SailingAtypic Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=37205310
