Exploring Cumberland Island via the Plum Orchard Docks #shorts

After anchoring at Brick Hill near Cumberland Island, we took about a 4 mile dinghy ride to the Plum Orchard docks. Once there, we hiked across the island to the most amazing beach with literally only 2 other people (way far away). We saw lots of birds, armadillos, a baby tortoise, and of course wild horses. Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden.
