Exploring the Triton Bay named by some as ‘the next frontier of diving.’ Leaving the small port of Kaimana, there is nothing but thick rainforest, gorgeous inlets, and uninhabited beaches, undisturbed by human activity. If you are looking for an adventure and want to explore some of the most remote and unknown areas, this is the place to go. Conservation International only surveyed triton bay in 2006, and there is only one small resort. Vaiatea liveaboard uncovers the top of what is believed one of the most diverse and pristine areas. There are sandy bottoms with huge boulders, covered in the most colorful soft corals, and are considered even better than Raja Ampat. The visibility can vary as the sites are between the islands bringing nutritious currents feeding these untouched corals. Watch the FULL VIDEO on our channel 😀 After being in storage for months on end we were finally able to launch our catamaran tender thanks to some help from a kind Trinidadian local. We've experienced many instances of the Trinidadian generosity of spirit while here, and hope to showcase that during our time in Trinidad, as well as pay the kindness back and forward. While our initial plan was to go DDI, or Down De Islands, we ended up hopping up the Trinidad coastline ending up in Scotland Bay. Scotland Bay is generally only accessible by water and is hugely popular for Trinidadians looking to swim, lime and hang out with friends by the water.
