Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. The Mumm 36 - Go To Red made some magical memories for the Bottom Up Boats crew. The boat really came alive whenever we could get the A-Sail up in a bit of pressure. The boat was touching 10 knots of boats speed in gust up to 16 knots on the beautiful sunny day on Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland. Flat water and breeze really aloud the Mumm 36 to get her bow out of the water and jump up on the plane. The it was perfect condition for the yacht with the crew working together to ensure the sails were trimmed to perfection to keep the boat flat while reaching as the tighten up to make the bottom mark.
