We've left Grenada! The map in the video shows us where we are at the time of this post. My message for today is that if you're new to cruising, make sure to experience a night sail with an experienced sailor as a part of your required training. Even if you don't plan on sailing at night, you might find yourself in a position where you must do it. Once you try it out, you'll find it peaceful. My wife, Kim, prefers sailing at night as it's so quiet and magical. She loves the carpet of stars above and the fresh sound of waves parting along the hull. Join me on a Sailing Lifestyle Experience to see, feel, smell, touch, and taste the sailing life. Once you try it out, you'll be hooked! #sailinglife #sailinglifestyle #sailingexperience #learntosail #short

With the tank repaired and the rain ceased we went in search of some fresh drinking water. Hiking up hills and rough terrain we find a suitable spring. With the help of some of the village kids, we do multiple trips to carry the water back to the kayak. Undoubtedly overloaded with 70L of water per trip and windy wavy seas, we just make it back to the boat before the kayak is completely under. Sure, boat life can be inconvenient at times. But I have chosen this lifestyle, and any hardship I face pales in comparison to others who, because of extreme poverty, have had life-threatening inconveniences imposed on them. Yet they long for what I have. Freedom and the power to be self-determining. Clean water does that, and that is why I am committed to the work of HOPE International Development Agency, and trust them as they only have one goal: to help the neglected poor become self-reliant. I and 10 other friends are running for HOPE this weekend at the Osaka Marathon. I'm chuffed that we have raised over 10,000 USD so far! https://en.hope.or.jp/campaign/2023/run-for-water
