Have you ever had a dream so big that it seemed impossible? Well Luke and I we came up with this crazy idea of buying sailboat, fixing it up and sailing around the world. We found this 25 year old neglected boat in, Brazil and thought it had so much potential. Perhaps we were a little over ambitious but over last several months we have been working incredibly hard to completely rebuild it. The Lahakai sailboat is a 34” custom built steel sailboat, made in 1997 in France and sailed all the way to the shores of Brazil. It was then brought to Niteroi where she sat completely neglected in a boat club for 10 years. And that’s when we found her!
