The anticipation of launching our tiny liveaboard that we just bought in September, but have never sailed yet, is just coming to a head! There have been multiple delays from the marina: first we were told that we could launch as soon as we were ready, which was May 4th weekend. Then we were told that it couldn't be launched until marina opening which was May 15th. They weren't ready because they are repairing many of the docks? Long story short (too late!) they attempted to launch us May 21st but couldn't fit the travel lift between the two boats neighbouring us? Finally, they promised Saturday May 25th 8am? We've had a last minute cancellation for the Lemsteraak trip in Holland in June. It's for the bunk cabin with 2 berths. Let us know if you can come along. These weeks are a fantastic introduction to European canal cruising as well as exploring the lovely Frisian Islands. Your cabin awaits! Join us for a week of sailing aboard a traditional Dutch "Lemsteraak" to explore the shallow seas of the Frisian Islands and travel inland via the Dutch Canals. Depending on whether we will be able to visit 3 or 4 of the lovely Frisian Islands. In this area it's important to take tides and currents into consideration so we will go over tidal calculations and methods.

? Le onde oceaniche Chiunque le abbia viste non può che ricordare enormi masse d'acqua che si spostano a ritmo di un immenso respiro. Io le osservo da quando abbiamo messo il naso fuori da Gibilterra e per me restano un bellissimo mistero. Che siano agitate o che siano calme, le onde dell'oceano ti trascinano con quella inesauribile calma a rallentare. A respirare. Così alte che se passa una nave scompare completamente. Così morbide che ci innalziamo e inabissiamo con loro quasi senza accorgercene. Sempre e comunque al loro ritmo. Di tutte queste miglia, ciò che porterò nel cuore accanto ai delfini bioluminescenti saranno queste colline blu, che tutto inghiottono e che tutto cullano. Che viaggio incredibile ?
