The MC55 is the smallest multihull in the McConaghy Boats range. A careful use of carbon helps to achieve an optimum strength to weight ratio. ▫️ 📹 @McConaghyBoatsTV ▫️ The twin helm positions on the flybridge give great sight lines forward and the elevated position on this yacht helps in-port manoeuvres. ▫️ There are two layouts on offer. A four-cabin layout (all en suite) or a three-cabin layout, with a large master suite with private study, in the starboard hull. ▫️ The wide saloon is very spacious with large windows running the full length of the hulls and fully retractable glass doors to aft. ▫️ This catamaran feels like a New York apartment. ▫️ Specs LOA 15.87M BEAM 8.24M DRAFT (WITH CENTREBOARDS) 1.35M TO 3.75M UPWIND SAIL AREA 150SQM NAVAL ARCHITECT KER YACHT DESIGN STANDARD POWER 2 X 57HP FUEL TANKS CAPACITY 460L FRESH WATER CAPACITY 460L HARKEN DECK GEAR CONSTRUCTION E glass, core cell vinylester resin construction ▫️ ▫️ ▫️ #multihulls #sailing #catamarans #multihull #mcconaghymc55 #catamaran #mcconaghy #luxury #multihullsailing #mcconaghyboats #performancecatamarans #fast #katamarans

http://features.boats.com/boat-content/2013/02/torqeedo-deep-blue-makes-award-winning-debut-in-miami/ Torqeedo leaves the 2013 Miami boat show with a NMMA Innovation Award for its Deep Blue electric outboard, which made its North American debut at the event. Deep Blue is a huge leap for the German manufacturer, which has quietly (in every way) been gaining a following in the United States with a line of kicker-size electric propulsion motors up to 4kW (matching the thrust of a 9.9-hp gasoline outboard) that are attractive for use on restricted lakes and for light-duty auxiliary power. The new 60kW (80-hp) Deep Blue is aimed at the commercial market, but the firm is also working with several pleasure-boat builders. The company had the motor rigged on a flats boat and a Zodiac inflatable at Miami.
