Our #sailing adventure in #newyork was a unique and challenging experience. Aside from being a bustling #harbour with much marine traffic, the harbour is affected by tidal currents-two floods and two ebbs every day. Learning the current patterns to plan your sail into the harbour is essential, especially if you want to sail up the East River and into the Long Island Sound. We've finally made it to the Exumas. We left Morgans Bluff and made our way 78nm to Normans Cay in about 14 hours. The first 8 hours we motored but then the wind started to cooperate and we sailed the rest of the way from essentially the east-end of New Providence down to Normans Cay.
