Lost my sails and engine whilst transiting the Kaiwi channel solo. Full video coming soon. Myself and the boat eventually made it back to shore safely. Snowflakes dancing on the deck, and then – wow! Look at that plane emerging from the swirling white chaos. Taking off from a frozen airstrip, right there at the edge of the world. The cruise ship's a pretty awesome vantage point, giving us front-row seats to this arctic drama. Imagine the skill it takes to pilot a plane in these conditions. The icy runway disappearing into the blizzard. This is one serious adventure, even from the comfort of our warm cabin.
