Every year we get bombarded with news out of the Cannes Yachting Festival in the South of France. This year is no exception, and here are three early bits of news that have come out of the show I find pretty exciting.

Nominated for Multihull of the Year, the Dracan 42 is already proving why it deserves the title. ❤️‍🔥 Fast and striking, it fuels adrenaline for those at the helm and those on board — all while creating the perfect vibe for great conversations and an exciting getaway. Master Yachting will have the Dracan 42 on display at the Dalmatia Boat Show, April 10th to 13th, 2025! See you there! 💨 #MasterYachting #DalmatiaBoatShow #WaterSports #Dracan42 #DracanMarine #MasterYachtingGroup #Multihull #LuxuryCatamaran

After catching the fish, Ira (ee-ra) wasn't interested in filleting it, so I did that part. I had her at least take out the remains and throw them in the water to bring her into the process a bit. Maybe next time she'll do the filleting as well.

Have you seen my latest full video yet? We met some amazing creatures - Sunflower Sea Stars - that perform a vital job balancing the ocean ecosystem on the Pacific Coast. Sadly, they’ve been almost wiped out by a vicious disease, and as a result, sea urchin populations have spiked (get it?), causing widespread destruction of kelp forests - the precious nurseries of the ocean. The Sunflower Star Laboratory is doing amazing work breeding Sunflower Sea Stars, researching Sea Star Wasting Disease, and working towards reintroduction and restoration. Here is a video of one of their Sunflower Sea Stars doing what it does best - eating a pesky sea urchin! Footage courtesy of SSL / Reuven Bank
