I went for a snorkel here in Brewers Bay USVI and had two dolphins come up to me. One of them, the younger one approached very close. So close I could touch him. For 6 minutes he played around with me until I finally had to retreat to the boat. It was an exhilarating experience and he was wild. Not a swim with the dolphins fake. Real live wild dolphin!
Lena and Frank are happy to finally get our Catamaran CATAWAMPUS in the water. January 8th 2022 It took almost two and one half months to get this far. Exciting.
It is very important to un name and then rename a vessel in order to avoid bad luck. So here is our version of that naming ceremony. Enjoy! CATITUDE to CATAWAMPUS. It means slight irregular, off kilter, unusual, After the hurricane damage you can appreciate how it mght apply to the boat and of course the skipper and crew. LOL
The very slow process of fiberglass repairs through to final painting. We used two part epoxy paint for the grey hull and two part epoxy primer on the whole boat above the waterline. Sorry for the poor quality of video but there are no retakes LOL
IT HAS BEEN A MONTH SINCE THE WORK STARTED. FINALLY AT THE NEXT STAGE.
We thought that the boat had repairs done that would only need to be finished. it turns out that the repairs were just patches to be able to float the boat to drydock. Surprise Surprise!
We have been waiting patiently for the fiberglass work to begin and the crew has started today!

Local fisherman demonstrating how to get the conch out of the shell! We had a delicious conch salad. Notice the long clear pistol, is the aphrodisiac which is highly valued by the people here!
