Nino joins the party. Things are going to get wild when he tries to sail this monohull up to St Martin with us. His new pride and joy is a German made Van de Stadt that's been sitting abandoned in a Trinidad boatyard for the past 3 years. Will he sail it, yes he will.

Life has a funny way of turning out. During the extensive warranty repairs on our Leopard Catamaran, we met a gel coat & finishing expert named Nino. Fast forward to today, he's a valued friend and the first member of our international sailing flotilla - all we need to do is actually get both boats seaworthy!! His new pride and joy is a 43 year old Van de Stadt monohull that's been sitting abandoned in a Trinidad boatyard for the past 3 years. The engine is rusted, deck soft, there's water and leaks everywhere, no electricity, no running water, questionable gas lines, and a list of jobs that makes your eyes water. But together, we think we have the skills and know-how to get this sailboat rebuild done and have her in the water by the end of hurricane season, departing Trinidad victoriously as a flotilla and heading off to explore the Caribbean, fixing the rest of her up along the way.
