Okay, this one is an option, but it's great and we're going to go with it on Mira.
Advantages:
Lighter
Longer life-span
Stronger and can actually bear the force of redirecting lines via a carabiner/shackle
Allows way more water to flow through(safer)
More resilient with individual Dyneema lashings instead of using one or two segments to attach
Disadvantages:
Added cost (approximately $5k as of this video)
The rigging person will have phantom hand cramps appear when thinking of your boat

Recent hulls now have a new, integrated cross beam and longeron (bow sprit) custom made in Cape Town for the Vision 444. Not only does this remove any through-hull connections near the waterline for the support cables of which I can not remember the name, it also provides a solid walking/standing area when working with the anchor or mooring.
