We bought a canyoning harness before leaving Australia and it was still adjusted for Carolyn's small size, so she was the one to try it first. The fourth mast step was too stiff to be opened so that's as high as she climbed. We'll need to carry some kind of persuader to open them, until they free up a bit. After that first climbing effort we had a second go in the fading light, with the two halyards again but also the winch this time. Much easier, for her! :-)

Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Außerdem müssen wir noch lernen richtig zu segeln. Du kannst dich also schon auf die nächsten Videos freuen!
