We spotted this whale a few miles off the East coast of the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde in Scotland.
There hasn't been a sighting of a humpback whale in the Clyde for 8 years.
The sighting has been registered and has now been given the ID# SCUK106.
It was spotted a few days later further up north in Loch Long and has since made its way up the west coast, past the small Isles.

There's nothing like a huge pod of dolphins to cheer you up during a bleak Scottish summer. We had the honour of being escorted by these, for around an hour while sailing our way down the sound of Sleat, between the Isle of Skye and mainland Scotland.
