Anchor watch, boat rage and a beautiful day sail along the Cote D'Azure? With a strong mistral forecast to blow out of the Gulf of Lyon we spent a night on anchor watch outside of St Tropez before hoisting the sails and heading east to the largest marina in the Mediterranean, by tonnage; Antibes. Whilst we enjoyed a beautiful day of sailing along the Côte d'Azure some other boaters got a little, erm, shall we say, testy with each other. ??? Monaco dahling? I'd rather be sailing! In our latest episode, having sailed further east from Antibes, we waited for a weather window to cross back to Corsica and found ourselves in Monaco - known the world over as the playground of the rich and famous. We dipped our toes into this tiny but exclusive and expensive country and watched the weather. Instead of the hoped for northerlies to blow us across to Corsica, the forecast grew into a far reaching mistral and the marina had no space for us to stay! After finding what we hoped would be a protected anchorage we crossed our fingers?. A huge whale and going where the wind takes us for a fantastic two day sail!
