Ahoy Friends,

This week we start the process of installing a Whale Gusher Foot Pump. The first step in this process was to determine where it made sense to install, on my 1965 Alberg 30 I decided to recess it under the stove enclosure in the starboard stowage area.

I have an electric water pump onboard that works perfectly fine but I wanted to install a foot pump to help regulate how much fresh water is used. Later on during the final galley rebuild I will install a salt water hand pump at the sink allowing for easy washing with salt water then a quick rinse with fresh water when needed.

On this episode we cut out the hole for the pump, design a simple shelf type bracket that the foot pump is mounted to then dry fit it under the stove to see how she fits.

Next week we go drill the holes for the hoses and run all new hoses forward to the water tank.

Thanks to our Patrons for your continued support! The new GoPro we purchased with your contributions has made filming so much easier and more reliable on the boat.

Thanks to everyone for watching and if you like this episode please give us a "LIKE" and leave us a comment with any questions or just to say hi.

Until Next Week,
Fair Winds,
Sailor James
