Chaguaramas is the yachting hub of Trinidad & Tobago. It's home to shipyards, marinas, immigration, a customs office (with fantastic staff!) and a range of chandleries. It's a great place to haul out to store your boat for hurricane season or get some DIY projects out of the way. You can see our guides to hauling out in Trinidad on the Travel Sketch website!

For almost 12 months now our home has been a shipyard in Trinidad while our Leopard 45 catamaran undergoes significant warranty repairs. One exciting morning it was time to launch one of these catamarans, with the team at Power Boats in Chaguaramas showing off how they work together to lift, tow and launch these enormous yachts. Despite their best efforts nature intervened, but in the end they ensured a safe and successful launch.
