CRAZY STORM CONDITIONS IN THE MARINA!!! And boken toe… 🥹 / Sailing Aquarius Ep. 172

We left Sicily, Italy as we saw approaching storm. In hopes for the better shelter we sailed 245 NM to Sardinia island, Cagliari. Our initial plan was to anchor, but plans changed and we ended up in Marina Saint’Elmo during the 28th August, 2023 storm.

I was not very impressed with marina’s protection as the breakwall was quite far away and it had an exposure to the winds but it seemed as a better option being in a rolly waters and especially using dinghy in these conditions…
And and the price - it was THE most expensive marina we have ever stayed 580 Euro for 3 nights it 215 USD per night!
Very soon the storm came and it did not look pretty… Actually - It was CRAZY!!! 49 knots of wind and lots of damage done…
You have to see it yourself…

but then - storm calmed down and we were able to enjoy Cagliari city tour and some nicee company.
After we sailed North of Sardinia enjoying beautiful vistas on the way to Corsica…
