Will she CRUSH THE BOAT? 6 months since we were in a marina | SAILING WAYZGOOSE WARRIOR Ep 9

It has been 6 months since we were last in a marina and we are both very nervous about getting in but we manage to do it without any dramas. During all this time the batteries have been charged by the solar panel and the wind turbine. As winter has come and the days are getting shorter we are mainly depending on the wind which means we have been a bit low on power lately. We decided that going into a marina would be good to plug the boat in and give us a little break from the cold. We spent a week in Haslar Marina in Gosport and we had a great time. The staff there are lovely and you’ve got all you need a stone throw away from the marina. We got all our washing done, enjoyed lots of hot showers and finished a few jobs. Life is way easier in a Marina where you don’t have to worry about dragging anchor, running out of fresh water, power or getting your bum wet when going ashore… But when it gets windy… marinas are not so nice. At least when you are at anchor the boat floats and moves freely instead of beeing pulled on the pontoon making all those crazy noises. All in all we had a great time and met some new people.
