WHAT DID SHE DO TO DESERVE THIS?? ? - (Episode 304)
An "equatorial baptism", or "crossing the line" ceremony is the age old ritual performed when a sailor goes from one hemisphere to the other, at sea. This is a long held tradition, originally made popular by the British navy, in which a hazing ceremony takes place to convert mariners from pollywogs, to Shellbacks in the presence of King Neptune, the god of the sea. So when we crossed the equator in Indonesia with 3 pollywogs on board, of course we had to continue the tradition for you all to witness! SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. They found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across through Asia headed for the Indian Ocean!!
