After a triumphant day of changing our cutlass bearing under water last week, a new problem arises which renders that success moot. At the tail end of our day, our prop shaft sheered off at the thread. After taking a closer look at the piece, it was evident that our prop shaft was on its last leg. It was truly a blessing in disgust to have this come up before we head into open ocean. With this in mind, we reconvene at the drawing board as we strategize how to fix it without the cost and time of a haul out.
