Two Sails & Two Knots: Ep 47 in our Beneteau seeking whales in Moreton Bay @SailingAstridTheWombat

It's been a year since our first sail in @SailingAstridTheWombat actually that means it's been a year since our first sail ever. That's right a year ago we bought this Beneteau Oceanis 430 and pulled the sail up for the first time ever when we brought her home. A sail that stretched 700 nautical miles from Townsville in Far North Queensland Australia to Moreton Bay in Brisbane Queensland. In this episode we manage to get both the head sail and the main sail up as we head out doing only two knots looking for whales in Moreton Bay. It is the best day we have had sailing to date and we reflect on how much we have learnt in the past year. The day ends though with a serious issue with our mail sail that almost caused us to have to turn around and head back to the marina. We hope you enjoy this episode.
