After two years of boat renovations, learning how to sail a boat and heading off on our crossing of the Bay of Biscay, we find ourselves in a bit of trouble in Spain... Our engine or prop shaft started making a horrible screeching noise! Not knowing whether continuing would do irreparable damage to our sailboat, or sink it!!, we decided to turn off the motor and call a PAN-PAN for a rescue tow. What began has a pleasant trip with perfect conditions, soon ended in disaster? As we have come to find out, sailing never quite goes to plan!
