Trolling Motor Tool Battery Dingy Range Test #sailing #sailboat #sailboatlife
I'm calling the electric dinghy motor project, done... for now. What I did was remove all the componenets that I had previously installed which were, a RC reciever, the 5v power supply for the RC reciever, the old burnt-out speed controller, and the the 24v dc-dc converter. The plan was to wire the 2, 4 amp/hr batteries in parallel which would give me aproximately 20 volts to power a 24 volt motor. Some comments here on YT have led me to believe that this would be the most efficient option. The new speed controller which is 10-50 volt input with 100 amp output, and a fan. It works great, and I shouldn't have wasted all that money on those other components. The new speed controller was $60 and was really all I needed to make this thing go. Also in this video is a brief review on my new (new to me) Samsung S21 Ultra smart phone. I picked one up from BackMarket.com for $400! Brand new these phones were selling for $1400! Good deal and a great camera!
