TRAGEDY ON THE BAY The Loss of a Family
On July 13, 2024 a family was lost and perished on the Bay of Green Bay in a wind event that preceded the arrival of a strong storm. We were in the vicinity of the tragedy before it unfolded as we delivered BOOMERANG back to Wave Pointe Marina after participating in the Egg Harbor Yacht Club Family Regatta. It is easy to forget that the Bay of Green Bay on Lake Michigan is a large body of water that can become dangerous in short order. A beautiful day can turn deadly. Our Channel is dedicated to showing the fun and comradery that can be found on the water. But this video is intended to also provide a cautionary tale that danger lurks and is always present when you venture out on to any body of water. Our condolences go out to the family of sailors.
