Sailing Solo to Catalina Harbor (December 2020)
In this episode, we sail single-handed from San Pedro, CA to Catalina Harbor. We've logged 980 nm year to date. This is the final crossing of 2020 and puts us past 1000 nautical miles. Seas are lumpy and winds are light for the trip to the island. We spend New Years Eve on the mooring while it's blowing 25 knots. We return on New Years Day, with 15-22 knots of wind and enjoy some lively sailing on the back side of Catalina.
