Sailing from Philippines to Tahiti - part 4 - Leg 3 Kavieng to Noro in Solomons
The fourth video covers the first part of the 3rd leg of our long journey. Was our advanced wx forecast accurate? What wx did we really have and was it expected? We are using PredictWind.com new Departure Tool to help us sail in good conditions during our sailing passages from Philippines to Tahiti, with Bob McDavitt as extra ace before long & crucial passages. On our way from Kavieng to Noro in the Solomons, we visited New Ireland, Duke of York and East New Britain in PNG. We did not stop anywhere along Bougainville or in any of the Solomon islands south of Bougainville to avoid problems with the Solomon Islands Border Patrol who does not let anyone stop anywhere before formal entry into the country, in our case in Noro, Gizo or Taro Filmed in March & April 2025.
