First we must travel southwards along the (often treacherous) east coast of England negotiating "The Wash", the strong currents, the shifting shallows and widespread windfarms of the North Sea. Wells-next-the-Sea is an old harbour tucked away down a tidal, narrow channel which dries out at low water and can only be accessed when the tide is right.
