Sail to a Spectacular Island Volcano and Swim in its Crater - S4 Ep 97

The waters of the Komodo Islands are renowned for very strong currents as the Pacific and Indian Oceans collide with their waters raging through the area's many intra-island channels. After leaving Labuanbajo, we joined the long, long list of sailors to fall foul of these as first we fought our way to reach our anchorage at the island of Banta, then struggled to leave it. Fortunately Our Dreamtime overcame the elements and we reached a calm anchorage on the north coast of Sumbawa in the shadow of one of Indonesia's biggest volcanos. From here we enjoyed a pleasant sail to the absolutely stunning volcanic island of Pulau Satonda. We never imagined ourselves swimming in a volcano but that's what we did.
