What was supposed to be our final passage down the East Coast turned into a terrifying offshore sailing experience. Just hours left in our passage, our mainsail ripped, wrapping around the spreader. Then, our engine failed, leaving us battling massive waves and strong currents with only our headsail to guide us. After sailing the rest of thew way with only our headsail we had no choice left, we scheduled a tow into West Palm Beach. This journey tested us like never before.
