It?s Getting BAD Out Here (4 METER WAVES ??)....Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 466

Buckle up, we've got a spicy one for ya today! It's finally time to depart our beloved Tuamotu Islands. Our haul out date was scheduled, our provisions were getting dismal, and we had soooo much to do to prepare Delos for being on the hard for 9 whole months. So we set off and pointed our bow west, and little did we know what was in store for us...the forecast for the wind looked fantastic, but there would be quite a bit of swell. Nothing that was worrying though, and certainly nothing compared to some of the extreme conditions we've encountered over the years. But it's been a while since we've been out in seas like that, and we were in for a bit of a rude awakening. We got absolutely rocked out there. But even if it was pretty uncomfortable, we were FLYING along and we even caught a GIGANTIC mahi! So we're going to call this one a win for sure! It's good to get a little flogging out there every now and then to remind us we are true sailors ??
