Iceland Part 2 | Glacier Hiking, Whale Watching, Hiking a Volcano

Welcome back for part 2 of my Iceland trip with friends! This second half of the trip is probably my favorite and most memorable. I highly recommend renting a car and driving up north in Iceland. We got so fortunate with the weather whilst we were there, but take note that the weather varies a lot in Iceland. I must recommend doing a glacier hike in your lifetime since they may soon be gone. Truly the most crisp and fresh water I have ever had and not too difficult. I would love to return and try a more challenging hike in the future. Another OMG moment was of course seeing whales! First time for me seeing them in the wild. We saw a total of 6 humpback whales on our tour and I admit it, I cried. Such beautiful, gentle creatures. (We did whale watching through Whale Watching Akureyri - https://www.whalewatchingakureyri.is/) Of course we had to continue our lagoon stops, with our favorite being the Forest Lagoon just outside Akureyri. As someone with Finnish blood, their dry sauna was top tier. Note on the Myvatn nature baths - they are indeed naturally heated and therefore heavily smell of sulfur if that bothers you.
