Exploring Taormina and We get trapped in a storm! | Life on a Sailboat | Sailing Sunday Ep. 17

We made our way from Syracuse up to Taormina! A beautiful city propped up on a mountain in Sicily, we anchored just below it in a large bay. We spent an entire day around Naxos and then made the trek up the mountain to Taormina, it was such a hot day and we took the LONG way up!! Totally worth the effort though as it was an unbelievably beautiful city. After a few days of beautiful weather a storm hit! There wasn't anywhere near that was protectected that we could move to so we just had to ride it out! it was a very uncomfortable few days to say the least! on the last morning it all became too much with the swell and we decided to just move down a little bit in hopes for some relief. With the help of our friends on Katmazu we managed to refill our water tanks after they had gone dry! Next video we make the crossing from Taormina over to mainland Italy and start crossing the southcoast!
