With just a month before the Southwest Monsoon sets in over the Bay of Bengal, we're making the most of our time in the Andaman Islands-sailing, exploring, and soaking in the beauty of this untouched paradise. This episode marks a new chapter as Arnav joins us on board for his internship as part of his BE Marine Engineering course. Before setting sail, we stocked up on provisions (with all the goodies for our Indian taste buds!) and tanked up on diesel for the journey ahead. ? Our Journey in This Episode: ? Chirya Tappu: Our first stop, famous for its stunning sunsets and rich wildlife. This lush, scenic spot is home to mangroves, tropical forests, and diverse marine life. We enjoyed crunchy pakoras onshore and even spotted sea turtles swimming nearby! ?? ? Making fresh water on board! Thanks to our Spectra watermaker, we stayed self-sufficient at sea. ? Ruthland Island: Here, we explored the mangroves by dinghy, but with a strict no-swimming rule due to crocodile warnings! ? ? Noticing the difference in landscapes-Andaman's hard rock formations and dense greenery contrast sharply with Thailand & Malaysia's limestone cliffs. ? Respect for the local fishermen-sailing the seas in basic wooden boats, with no GPS, minimal communication, and just one engine. These seafarers brave the ocean daily for their livelihood. ? Pearl Beach, South of Ruthland: Some of the best snorkeling we've done! ??
