Looks like Boris will soon hook into a developing low pressure that is forming between two merging lows. It will mean the wind will shift from the easterlies he has had all Christmas to Southwesterly and he can sail downwind again. It looks like Linkedout will be ahead of him but only just and his distance to 3rd place will be very close.
