Chasing volcanoes in the AZORES - Ep. 19

In this episode of Sailing Zephyr we catch the ferry over to the neighbouring island of Pico. We do some major sightseeing including having a look at the highest peak in Portugal and enjoy exploring some villages built entirely out of lava rock. We find a whaling museum that explains the history of whaling in Pico and how this shaped the history of the Azores. After an amazing day enjoying Pico island, we make our way back to Zephyr and get started on some repairs as well as getting our Zephyr logo painted on the wall of the Horta Harbour following tradition.
