Alanouwoly: Cowes to Wilhelmshaven - SV Tapatya EP99

Building a cruising sailboat Something different this week. We deliver Hazel's new boat from Cowes on the Isle of Wight, England to Wilhelmshaven, Germany, sailing non-stop from Cowes to the German island of Norderney. After refueling there, we headed out on the final leg. We also transit the second-largest sea lock in the world and navigate our way under the Kaiser Wilhelm bridge on our way to our final destination. The boat is constructed of exterior quality plywood, sealed with epooxy and sheathed in glass fibre and epoxy. One of the great beauties of these boats is that the ballast keel is fitted towards the end of the build, enabling the boat to be kept lower in the shed for most of the construction time.
