This is part 1 of a 4 part series sailing my Drascombe Lugger DInghy down the Menai Strait. IN this part we sail from Port Dinorwice or Y Felineli for it's proper Welsh name and after a shaky start we enjoy an epic sail all the way down to the Abermenai anchorage. Here' we beach and have a check of the Caernarfon sand bar and sure enough we confirm we were never going to be sailing out to sea this trip. With winds building fast i sail all the way back to our home for the night. A really great day Enjoy! 00:00 Intro 02:20 Launching From Dinorwic 07:16 We're Sailing! 10:34 Epic Sail 13:04 Running Aground! 15:16 Caernafon To Abermenai 20:16 Tacking Into Abermenai Anchorage 25:36 Checking The Sea 28:37 It's Kicked Off!!! 31:33 6-7.4KTS In High Winds 36:32 Motoring Home 40:20 Having A Play 41:55 Finding The Others 43:58 Anchoring For The Night ?
