As Christmas nears we spent last weekend getting the boat ready for Christmas. Deb and I have prepared for Christmas before and typically just had a small table top tree, but this year we wanted to have a large tree where Santa could put gifts under it for the GrandSquids. We actually got a 7 foot tree up in the boat :) See us prepare and decorate as well as bake some holiday cookies. Music in this episode was from a great musician from Hawaii. Deb and I had the pleasure of meeting her 7 or so years ago in Maui and she is amazing. How to do your brakes in minutes, the tools you will need, and what to look for. In this video, I will be working on a jeep wrangler, but disc brakes are the same on most cars. Just replacing bake pads in very easy and long as you don't let them wear down and scar the rotor. If they get to the point of metal on metal and scar your rotor, at a minimum you'll have to get the rotor turned. If the rotor is too far gone, it will have to be replaced making your brake job cost so much more. Funny that the jeep didn't need brakes but it was great practice. We spent 2 weeks circumnavigating Iceland by motor home. Iceland is an incredibly spectacular country with new jaw dropping scenery literally around every corner including incredible glaciers, waterfalls, thermal springs and wildlife. We scuba dived Silfra which is the clearest water in the world.

There's more than 600 miles of this spectacular shoreline, extending from the province of Antalya in the south to the Cesme peninsula in the north including Bodrum, Gocek, Marmaris, Fethiye. Less crowded than Santorini and St. Tropez and considerably more affordable, Bodrum remains blessedly free of the kind of overtourism that comes with cruise ship day-trippers, since its port can accommodate just two large ships -- and infrequently sees those. Yet it's definitely on the rise, as evidenced by the opening of several hotels and resorts from top luxury brands, including the Bodrum Edition, designed by Ian Shrager for Marriot's elite brand, the Six Senses Kaplankaya, and a Four Seasons slated to open in 2020. Vlog#20 We finally sail into Ensenada, Mexico still not knowing if they would let us in as we didn't have "correct" paperwork. We had a since we had sailed all night and were woken up saying it was time to go check in at customs. We had the marina help us as we thought wed have a better chance getting in with someone helping us! Paying for help really worked out, he got us in quite easily and we moved into a slip in the marina for a few days and their was weather coming through that we didn't want to go into. Trav was extremely excited as he had talked for years about wanting to see the baja 1000 for years, and it just so happened we accidentally pulled in right when it was on! We needed to replenish our diesel and water, so we ordered water to be delivered and Travis went to go get diesel. It was really far but he decided to walk it anyway so we would appreciate it more because we had had to use it so much all through America. The water guy ended up being late so we missed watching the kickoff of the baja 1000, Trav was extremely disappointed.
