The Product Team was in the middle of Releases running up to Union 2019, so hadn't prepared a lip sync for the first lip sync competition. With less than a week before the event, we decided to throw together something obscure, ridiculous, and fun in as little time as possible. We had ONE rehearsal! Proud of what we did with minimal LOE. We certainly didn't win, but I had at least 3 people come up to me and tell me how much they love the song and how excited they were to see/hear it, so that counts as a victory for me. Follow the 80/20 rule at work and the 20/80 rule in art.

Living out our dreams of Sailing to remote Indonesia in the search for the perfect wave. https://www.sailingnandji.com In this episode of Sailing Nandji, the boat yard is just a distant memory as we set sails down the West Coast of Sumatra in the search for waves. WE clear into Indonesia in Sabang and then head on down the coast, collecting a couple of young Aussie surfer lads as we go. We decide to take them along for a ride and head to the island of Nias. We had left Uncle and Bob back in Langkawi and arriving into the bay we were greeted with only these two vessels anchored in the calm lagoon. With a run of swell on the way, the lads get busy in the pumping left hander out the front. It was fun to try and remember how to surf again after months of not surfing! Worn out and hungry from a few days of practicing our surfing skills and combing the beach, we head into the weekly markets and show a little inside into village life. The sleepy quite town all week has barely noone around, but come market day it is a bustling metropolis! This is the first time we have seen Bat on the menu... With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia and finally arrived to the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the next big adventure. The work is now complete and off we go to Thailand on our way to Indonesia. We departed Australia in July 2017 and have since explored some amazing countries, met some beautiful people and experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades around the World! Indian Ocean here we come!! Every day here can be filled with exploring hidden beaches, beautiful vistas on the mountains above, and blow holes on abandoned resorts, that shoot waves right into the sky! Check out the some of the best things to do in and around this well protected hurricane hole and meet some of the crazy fun cruisers/sailors/pirates we adventured with during hurricane season. We also took a trip to Alex's Peace Corps site on the east coast, and made pit stops to provision in Santo Domingo and Santiago along the way. Living in Qingdao, China is like living in Boulder, Colorado next to the ocean and what could be better than that?! Come along with us as we do our favorite climb on our neighborhood mountain on the most spectacular weather day of the year. In addition, there are tunnels built by the German in the early 1900s to fortify the mountain and warn against Japanese attacks. For reference purposes, we leave information and maps so that you can recreate this hike when you visit our beautiful city. If you live a long way away, just enjoy this beautiful climb on this spectacular day with us. Enjoy! #china #chinalifestyle #chinalife #qingdao #fushanhai NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures! HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US? If you wish to support our video efforts, all we ask is that you SUBSCRIBE, give a THUMBS UP, SHARE our videos with your friends, AND COMMENT! WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET TO KNOW US MORE DEEPLY? Well it was time to say goodbye to Lady Musgrave - we had such a good time there. Snorkelling was great, variety of coral awesome (mostly hard corals) and variety of reef fish amazing! We had a great sail across to Llewellyn Reef and I really enjoyed the fact that there was no island there to anchor off, just reef. Was a bit daunting for Don though and he had a rather sleepless night worrying that we might drag anchor and end up on top of the reef. Also a great spot for snorkelling. Water clarity good, variety of coral good, again mainly hard corals, not as many fish as I would have liked but then again I didn't get to spend as long in the water as I would have likded. Don couldn't get out of there quick enough! Maybe next time we'll stay longer. It was hard to find a sandy patch to anchor though. Enjoy us on our travels with Sailing Bakali
On we press with our sail through the Bunker Group of Islands, well reefs actually. Today we sail from Llewellyn REef to Fitzroy Reef, which has a similar shape to Lady Musgrave, in that there is a channel you pass through and anchor in lagoon area. It was a bit narly approaching and entering channel but we were lucky enough to arrive as a small fishing boat went through, which helped us establish exactly where the channel markers were. We battled the outward tide as we entered and had to crank up the motor just to make some headway. I went for a snorkel off the SUP. Coral and fish not amazing and visibility not great but still worth a look. I would go back again and try snorkeling from a different bommie. Enjoy us on our travels with Sailing Bakali
What? Another reef? Yes, Don gets even more nervous as we approach yet another reef for me to indulge my snorkeling self on. Don sets new wet suit trend in this clip and is left rather exposed! Wistari Reef is located adjacent to Heron Island, a beautiful spot indeed. Unfortunately, as Heron Island is a private island we are unable to go ashore there and explore although we would have loved to. Sailing boats and non paying visitors are not welcome here. We managed to pick up the only public moring there, which was a huge relief to The Don. We had 2 nights there and the coral and fish were great! I really enjoyed snorkeling in the shallow waters, where the coral was still colourful and it was like an underwater garden of sorts. Fish were good but a little sparse, water clarity was good. Didn't see any turtles but did see a reef shark, but didn't capture on film unfortunately. Enjoy us on our travels with Sailing Bakali
We are still on our long journey of repairing our Beneteau after hurricane Michael. It's a slow process but we are plugging along and continuing to enjoy living on a boat and in new places along the way. In this episode we are laying fiberglass and filler. Highly regarded liveaboards, both ROCIO DEL MAR & QUINO EL GUARDIAN offer fantastic experiences to the iconic dive areas of the Socorro Islands, Sea of Cortez and Baja California. Diving from Rocio del Mar, or her brother, Quino el Guardian, offer guests three itineraries to choose from. Divers can go to the Socorro Islands to swim with giant manta rays, hammerheads, and humpback whales, to Baja California to dive with mobula rays and playful sea lions or the Midriff Islands in the Sea of Cortez with abundant marine life from nudibranchs and colorful jawfish to fin whales and whale sharks.
Did you know you can fly to Phoenix and within 4 hours be boarding a boat to one of the most remote places in the world? A world with no planes, very few boats, clear skies and amazing sunsets with clear, deep waters, abundant sea life, and golden sandy beaches. The Sea of Cortez - known as the Gulf of California - is a breathtaking destination for scuba diving, snorkeling, and exploration. Legendary diver Jacques Cousteau described the Sea of Cortez as the "world's aquarium". Dive on untouched walls and reefs abounding in marine life. Encounter large and small whale species, snorkel with whale sharks, dive with playful sea lion colonies and see countless eels, octopus, fish and jumping mobula rays. It's a macro photographers dream with nudibranchs, colorful blennies, dancing jawfish, and sea horses. Between dives, you can hike and explore remote uninhabited islets and at night you can gaze at the Milky Way.
