#58 Cet épisode marque l'histoire des avancements des travaux à bord. Maintenant que l'antifouling est complété, on peut maintenant s'attaquer aux étapes finales et satisfaisantes. On fait déplacer les pattes qui tiennent le voilier pour peindre en-dessous, on retire le vieux nom ''Necessity'' collé sur la poupe du bateau et on vous montre enfin le résultat du nom ''Petit Chantier'' sur la coque. De plus, on refait nos petites mascottes dans les cockpit! Finalement, on reçoit enfin notre safran en inox qui nous a été offert de bon cœur par une compagnie d'usinage québécoise (SK Usinage) et on l'installe sur le Skeg! Un GROS MERCI à SK Usinage et à Steve Blais qui nous ont offert ce magnifique safran dans un délai extrêmement rapide et qui ont fait un travail méticuleux. In this video, we are in Sardinia on the Costa Smeralda which is where we headed to hide out from some strong winds that were due to blow over the next few days. We stay onboard throughout the strong winds, gusting 50kts and Lars dives on our Mantus M2 anchor to make sure it’s holding OK. We then have a moment of panic when our neighbour from another boat rushes over to us telling us that we’ve dragged anchor. Indeed, we had dragged about 30m and had ended up behind the boat we were anchored up in front of. It’s a miracle we didn’t hit them. Quite the scare but luckily we were OK, were able to react quickly and it didn’t happen at night. Looks like Boris will soon hook into a developing low pressure that is forming between two merging lows. It will mean the wind will shift from the easterlies he has had all Christmas to Southwesterly and he can sail downwind again. It looks like Linkedout will be ahead of him but only just and his distance to 3rd place will be very close.

I bought a $50 dinghy on Craigslist, only to have someone GIVE mentee dinghy a few days later. Then someone GIVES me a motor! I didn’t ask for these things. I needed them and was working on manifesting them, but I never asked anyone for these critical items. They were just offered to me. That’s why I say, “Just show up and start making your dreams come true. The universe will assist you in your endeavors.” Of course nothing is perfect and there are obstacles in every gift box! 7 hours of non stop sailing footage, unedited and with no music and no overdubs, just sailing, no bullshit. So this is not one of our normal episodes. It's almost like an archive but we thought some people might actually enjoy it. It's the footage from an entire trip bringing Miss Rosie, our GD28 back from Mylor Yacht Club in Falmouth to Pwllheli over 6 legs. nearly 400 nautical miles spread over a couple of weeks. We've not edited any of this, it's just the raw footage, with the original audio. So in a kind of way it's the closest thing some people can get to coming along on a long sailing journey with us.
