Thank you so much for watching and for your support. In this episode, I'm sharing the whole year 2020 in 20 minutes with you. Looking back at my year as a sailor there is so much to be thankful for, and not at all as bad as you should think considering whats dominated the news the whole year. It's been absolutely one crazy ride. From living the dream in Panama before lockdown and sailing nonstop to Martinique just to be denied access. After 3 days with assistance from the Roya Norwegian Embassy in Paris, we were granted permission to clear in. After curfew was lifted from Martinique we needed to get out some steam and had a really fun time before sailing solo south to Grenada. Living in Grenada has been such a blessing not only because it's the friendliest people in the whole Caribbean, but also a covid free bubble for a long time. Did lots of siling on different yachts, explored the island, and made tons of new friends. I was even invited to Simone and Zacks wedding. Lots of boat work and finally could leave the marina. Also ended up in the hospital with a very hard version of Dengue. Yeah, it's fair to say 2020 has been quite a ride! Happy New Year! Special thanks to: Shelley for sailing with me in difficult times! @Wind Hippie Sailing for all the fun and adventures. @Captain Rick Moore for being such a generous and fun person to hang out with. And of course Maddy, your food is out of this planet! Shelter Bay Marina in Panama for everything you guys do for sailors, and of course the King of Shelter Bay Juanjo!!! All the cool kids of Grenada, and especially Simone and Zack You can also follow sailing with Thomas on other platforms for almost daily updated pics and videos: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sailingwiththomas Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sailingwiththomas About this channel: I'm Sailing around the world in a Bavaria 55 Cruiser, making videos whenever I have time for it. Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Please be kind in the comments!.

Hey all! Thanks for watching this video :) As seasoned cruisers we know a good dinghy is of the up most importance when living and cruising on a boat. With the trimaran, we have to worry about space and weight and I think we have found the perfect dinghy that will enable us to get to shore with Jetty and is easy to pack up and stow when we are on the road. We cannot tell you how happy we are to be getting back to boat life!! Have any questions about the boat or the motor throw them in the comments and we will do our best to answer 🤗 More dinghy info here: http://bit.ly/Highfield250 **p.s. you really shouldn’t open a inflatable dinghy box with a knife, we do not advise this. You should also not drop a dinghy from above your head. Do as we say not as we do ;)** More electric motor info: http://bit.ly/Torq1103CS Do you want your very own Tula gear? If you thought the Galapagos was a barren wasteland with nothing but wild animals, you cannot be blamed. That's what the BBC and countless other nature channels have led you to believe. But the reality is very different indeed... ----------------- POSTING LIVE UPDATES ON SOCIAL: https://www.instagram.com/the_sailing_family/ https://www.facebook.com/the-sailing-family-voyage/ ----------------- ABOUT US: We are a family of five sailing around the world on our "dream boat," a performance catamaran named "Archer." Eleven years ago, before kids, we sailed a Lagoon 380 named "Honeymoon" halfway around the world to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences with family and friends via YouTube, and by happenstance created one of the earliest sailing channels. We also realized what an incredible experience we were having and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with our kids. OUR BOAT is a Ferrari red Outremer 51 performance cruising catamaran. We chose this boat as it has been specifically designed for the purpose of bluewater sailing. It was designed and built to withstand the stress of "sailing multiple times around the world safely and in comfort." And yes, she's nice on the eyes too. OUR ROUTE has taken us from the Boston/Cape Cod area of the United States down to the Caribbean and then through the Panama Canal. At the time of posting this we have dealt with the Coronavirus lock down in New Zealand and are now cruising again in Covid Free Fiji. PLEASE COMMENT!: As a "family channel," we are required to actively monitor all comments, but we still want to hear from you. Tell us what you think! THANKS for watching all. Subscribe now and never miss an episode!

Free to roam we load up the boat and hit the high seas, sailing from Brisbane to Double Island Point overnight. We experience the messiest conditions yet as we get thrown around in two opposing swells, experience gusts from 0 to 35 knots and make more sail changes than we've ever done in total. It's all worth it as well pull into Double Island point where we freedive with some big pregnant Grey Nurse Sharks and our mates find some epic surf. During his time away from work, Jamie lived on board and cruised South East Asia. One of his life dreams is to sail around the world. His plans came together at the end of 2018 when he met a Filipina lounge singer in China. Princess was yearning for a vacation since she had been working many years to support her family. Finally, her siblings got their own jobs and she decided to join Jamie on Jupiter² and go sailing. It was a wild decision for her because she had never sailed before.

How Will Our Performance Sailing Catamaran Fair in a Storm? | #HarborsUnknown Ep. 12 After watching this video, if you'd like to see how the Seawind 1600 #sailingcatamaran performs in other conditions, watch this video https://youtu.be/vt6HGRHcm6Y or this playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCwNmkqXr8562e564Xf2Ih6i-VSvG9POu . We spent the past week at the lovely #StockIslandMarina just across the bridge from #KeyWest. Today we planned to sail our #Seawind1600 #catamaran from Stock Island to No Name Harbor in Biscayne Bay, 131 nautical miles. What we didn’t realize was the front out in the Gulf of Mexico on the west coast of Florida was now making its way over the southern part of the Keys and right over us. With gusts to 31 knots we were about to see how well the Seawind 1600 performs in heavy wind, rain and 6 foot seas. Luckily it didn’t last long, and sunny skies followed right behind the front. With lightning flashing in the distance and black skies overhead, we headed north towards #BiscayneBay. It was about 6:30 am, though you’d never know it from the sky. Some folks at the marina had been talking about a front off the west coast of Florida, but we didn’t realize part of that would make its way over the southern part of the Keys. We had checked Windy and saw the wind was going to be in our favor, about 20 knots from the southwest. We just didn’t see the storm that was a part of that. We referenced the handbook to see at what wind speed the first and second reef should be taken. The first reef in the main and jib should be taken at 22-24 knots of wind and the second reef should be taken at 25-27 knots. With the apparent wind already in the low 20’s we decided to start with two reefs. You have to turn into the wind to take a reef which is uncomfortable in heavy winds. We’ve heard you can reef when #sailingdownwind but haven’t found any videos on it. Leave a comment down below if you have any information on reefing downwind. We left the engine on because the wind was unpredictable and we wanted to go as fast as we could to get out of the storm. As the heaviest part of the storm passed over us the wind got sucked out and rain fell in buckets so we lowered the main and furled the jib. After about 2 hours the storm passed over us completely and the clouds parted to reveal blue skies. There were so many flocks of birds feeding on fish at the water’s surface. The black winged, white breasted frigates, and mostly white terns dove down to pluck the small ballyhoo from the water’s surface for a delicious meal. Ballyhoo are running this time of year and tuna, sailfish, wahoo and kingfish chase them to the surface. When the weather cleared we pulled out only the screecher. We now also wanted to hoist the main so we first had to furl the screecher, which we’re still having trouble with on a port tack because we have only one winch which holds the sheet and the sail has to be furled by hand. Not an easy task. We then turned into the wind and hoisted the main sail. Once the main was hoisted we resumed course and pulled the screecher out again. The wind direction changed and was now off our beam at about 22 knots apparent so we furled the screecher and pulled out the jib. Storm clouds surrounded us but fortunately stayed away. We toyed with the idea of #sailing straight through to Ft. Lauderdale. We would arrive at two/three o’clock in the morning but at least we’d be home and wouldn’t have to navigate the tricky Biscayne Bay channel at dark. However the seas were quite choppy and the ride was becoming uncomfortable so we stuck with our original plan and headed for Biscayne Bay to anchor for the night while enjoying a beautiful sunset. As the year comes to an end we tend to reflect on everything that occurred throughout the year. We’re so grateful for everyone that watches our videos, and we have truly enjoyed conversing with you all in the comments. It has been wonderful to be immersed in a creative project again. Thank you so much for your support. It would help us if you’d give this video a thumbs up and leave us a comment down below. We’re looking forward to all of the adventures to come. #HappyNewYear! Electric boats have come of age because of improvements of lithium battery technology, and lithium is now available for marine battery installation. Marine lithium batteries, battery management system (BMS), voltage considerations and more are discussed here. Well 2020 certainly sent a wave of storm fronts our way! Everything kicked off as planned with major events all going ahead, until March, when New Zealand went into a nation wide lockdown. No sailing for three months, meant we have to get imaginative until things finally kicked off again in late June. Since then it's been full on sailing, with the year wrapping up with AC75s ripping up the Waitemata Harbour. A special thanks to all the organisations who booked us to great memories of their events, and to our team of sponsors who make getting on the water even possible. Also a huge thanks to the entire Live Sail Die team. It takes a village, and then some, to bring your all the content we create. Happy new year everyone! Let's hope that 2021 brings us a bucket load more sailing.

A gennaio un euro "valeva" 3.10 dinari. Oggi 3, 31 dinari. Le pensioni degli italiani che vivono qui sonbo più pesanti, ma il guadagno viene mangiato dall'inflazione e nello stesso tempo cresce la rabbia della gente che ogni giorno diventa più povera

He weighs in with a different perspective on the never ending debate whether Gemini 105’s are blue water boats. He outlines differences between the 105 M and 105 MC. Join photographer Samantha Schwann on an expedition to world-class, big animal diving in the Revillagigedo Archipielago. Samantha will be onboard, continuing a 4-year project concentrating on the ocean's ecologically unique areas, and Socorro is a location so remarkable that she returns every year. Her work has received recognition via 11 international photography awards, was featured by NatGeo YourShot, published in Oceanographic Magazine, and exhibited across the USA and internationally. Samantha invites photographers and non-photographers alike for a unique behind-the-scenes experience alongside a pro photographer. Enhance your trip to one of the most spectacular locations on the planet: • Evening presentations. Samantha often presents to the public about conservation photography via radio, dive clubs, organizations such as REI, and art venues. She will conduct engaging evening presentations on board Quino el Guardian designed to enrich your experience via images and stories of the marine life and locations in which you will be diving, as well as conservation photography. • Sam will be experimenting and testing specialized equipment at night to attract and document marine life. Working topside from the boat's back deck, she invites guests to join in, either observing or directly participating. Join her for pre-breakfast morning coffee for a casual discussion on the day's photographic goals –approach, specific considerations for the day's dive sites, and problem-solve any issues. • Photo / Video. Whether you just like to document your holidays with a GoPro or are more serious about underwater photography, a few tips and tricks can be a total game-changer on this trip and ones to come. Sam can help with basic settings and, for those interested, will delve into more advanced topics such as composition, editing, color correction, shooting in challenging conditions, and creating a story or series. In this episode I meet with Rodney Keenan, founder of Evolution Sails, at his incredible high-tech membrane plant in Auckland, New Zealand about sail planning for my new project: Silver Fern. Rodney shares his advice on sail planning and the background story of how he built a global sail making business that sends sails to customers all over the world. As a 7-year client of Evolution, I was fascinated to find out first-hand about the latest trends in carbon/technora membrane sail technology and whether this next step up makes sense for my 72 foot expedition/racing project and I discover how sail making has changed over the past 20 years. David Hows and Phil Jarvis join the crew of Coastguard Nelson for a post-rescue debrief session, followed by a recorded podcast interview to discuss how yachties can learn lessons from previous Coastguard rescue case studies and tips on getting found and staying alive at sea. It's easy to assume when sailing in calm weather, that it will never happen to you, but the chat with the crew of Coastguard Nelson reinforces that having the right safety equipment, keeping it serviced and knowing how to use it could save your life one day. Nothing says Dalmatian cuisine like freshly grilled fish! This way of preparing fish is similar throughout the Mediterranean although naturally each family adds their own unique spin to it! No Dalmatian grilled fish dish is complete without its complementing sides including a generous portion of boiled potatoes marinated in onions and herbs and a fresh spritz of lemon to accompany. And perhaps the most important of them all, a grilled fish meal must be eaten with your hands! See how the family of Sail Croatia’s own, Eugen, prepares and enjoys the dish - it will definitely leave you wanting to try it yourself!
